I've been a patient here for a little over a month now. I have lived with lower back spasms that plagued me for over 3 years: a result of 15 seasons worth of bad snowboarding crashes, pregnancy, and lifting the child that resulted from that pregnancy. Finally, I couldn't deal with it anymore and made the time to fix it. I had seen a great chiropractor in Lake Tahoe before I moved to the bay, only when pain was so bad I couldn't function. I thought that chiropractic care was an "as needed" service. I was wrong to think that! Coming to this office, I was re-educated. It's more like massage or yoga: it takes a while to see lasting results. They really took the time during my exam to explain what was happening in my body, why waiting so long to fix it cost me years of suffering, treated me compassionately, and explained EXACTLY why chiropractic care helps. While I sought care for my back originally, they discovered initially that my neck was all out of whack. Oh yeah, I said. I forgot to mention that I have headaches, due to this knot at the base of my neck all the time. I thought it was normal and stress related. NOPE. Not normal! After 3 adjustments, I never felt the knot again. After 12 adjustments, I feel way less spasms in my back and am finally able to sleep at night, but I now know that it will take a full year of care to fix that. A year of care seems like a massive commitment, but I just think of all the appointment times and pain that went into having braces on my teeth, and this seems easy by comparison. Luckily, Advanced Health Chiropractic worked with me on finances to make it affordable and I LOVE that they get me in and out when I'm in a hurry and are really cool when I need to change my appointments. Also, the women who run that office are so friendly and informed. Stoked to be a patient here. I'll update my review when I finish my care plan and feel like a 20 year old again!

I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel in 1999. My old doctor suggested I needed surgery immediately because from the scale of one to ten my wrist was seven. I told my doctor I was going to massage school. She told me I was going to ruined my hands even more. I told her I’m not going to get my surgery and I’m going to massage school. I went to massage school and two of my instructors suggested I needed to see a chiropractor and massage therapist and I will be fine. I went to see Advanced Health Chiropractic, they adjusted me for the first time and I felt the difference right away. I went home and told my family about the miracle. My whole family was doing martial arts during the time. I brought my family of six to see Advanced Health Chiropractic team the next time I went to get adjusted. It’s really wonderful for range of motion. My eldest son was diagnosed with slight scoliosis and was a little hunch back with severe allergy, all of these disappeared after seeing team of Advanced Health Chiropractic. I become a big believer of chiropractors. I am now carpal tunnel free. I’ve been a massage therapist for 18 years. I’ve been referring my clients to Advance Health Chiropractic. I went in with lower back pain that was starting to affect me at work, Dr. Van Aken performed xrays and I had a pinched nerve in my lower back as well as a few other spots that needed adjustment. From the first adjustment it made a big difference, I've been going twice a week for a month now and I feel great compared to where I was. I'm on a 12 week program and I still get pain from time to time but its night and day from where it was before and I have complete confidence that by the end of the process it'll be gone.

When I threw my back out in early February, I thought I would give it a few days rest and be back on my feet. A week went by and I still could not stand up straight and had painful spasms shooting up my back. A co worker gave me the phone number of Advanced Health Chiropractic in Livermore. She told me how she has been going to chiropractors her entire life and she has never been more satisfied then with this place. I never once went to a chiropractor. I have a hard enough time when I accidentally crack my own knuckles... however I knew I needed help and gave them a call. After the initial exam I had my first adjustment. it was over in five minutes with no pain! I went home, made myself some tea and sat to think about what just happened to my body. I felt aware, I felt relaxed and I felt no spasms! Since then I have consistently been going for my adjustments. Not only is my back better, but I have noticed that other symptoms I just passed off as "oh that's just how my body works" are diminishing. After each adjustment I am in awe with how great I feel! My first appointment at Advance Health Chiropractor was surprisingly a great experience and I was blown away by their attentiveness. I went there knowing that I needed an adjustment and usually they don't do an adjustment during your very first visit because they want to assess you current condition through a thorough examination and x-ray before deciding on what kind of treatment your body needs as well as what you agree upon. However when I mentioned to them that I have gotten adjustments before, I was familiar with the process and that I was hoping to get an adjustment because I have some discomfort, they expedited my x-ray results and did everything they could to combine what usually took 2 appointments into my appointment that day which includes going over my x-ray results. After that, they walked me through the check-in process prior adjustment and got my adjustment done which significantly relieved my discomfort on my neck and lower back. I will be coming back often for my 12 weeks treatment and I highly recommend this place because even though they were busy, never once did they make me feel like I was a bother to them and different team members would check in on me to make sure that I was comfortable and not forgotten.
